Here’s the latest UK Gig News…. Please check Artist or Venue links for exact dates in case somethings changed, ticket info, or in case we’ve made an error…

Firstly news that we missed previously, excellent Icelandic band Rökkurró, arrive for 3 dates, Monday 2nd Feb in Bristol, and then Coventry on the 3rd and the Seabright Arms in London on the 4th February. Their excellent album Innra was released in October, and these gigs are highly recommended if you can get to them.

Emilie Nicolas, Norwegian songstress, who has made a huge impression in the last year comes to the UK for a one off gig on the 28th January at St Pancreas Old Church in London, although it looks sold out. Details at

Inge Bremnes, Norwegian songwriter living in the UK, who was featured as one of our New Artists of the Day last week, is playing at Studio 2 Parr Street in Liverpool on 1st February in the ‘Strings and Things’ event.

Then on the 5th February, Inge joins fellow Nordic Music Review ‘New Artists / Bands of the Day’, Kalandra and Mari Hajem for a night of Nordic Music at the brilliant Kazimer in Liverpool. That is definitely not a night to be missed. Mari Hajem will premiere her new EP at that gig.

Upbeat Norwegian band Team Me, who release their new Album ‘Blind as Night’ today, are starting their February tour with 2 UK gigs, at Manchester at the still excellent Deaf Institute on the 18th February and then London Oslo on the 19th February. We might try and get along to the Manchester gig.
