We've written about 'Spielbergs' a couple of times since they burst on to the music scene with their pretty wonderful track 'We Are All Going to Die', so we're delighted to remind you that they are currently here in the UK embarking on tour that covers a fair good part of the UK. And they've even released a new single too, entitled 'Running All the Way Home', which came out just a couple of weeks ago.
For those of you who haven't come across them, they're a Norwegian Indie Rock band, who write blistering tracks with a ridiculous amount of guitar energy, and their album 'This is Not The End' is still highly recommended. Actually it's one of their least upbeat tracks 'Familiar' which still really resonates with me, so I'm hoping that might be on their set list on their UK tour, which started just a couple of days ago.
They still have 6 dates left, although please check their Facebook page for confirmation and ticket details, because the Birmingham venue has recently changed:
Saturday 21st September: Birmingham The Sunflower Lounge (moved from The Flapper)
Sunday 22nd September: Manchester Yes (Basement)
Monday 23rd September: Sheffield Picture House Social
Tuesday 24th September: Leeds Oporto
Thursday 26th September: Bristol Louisiana
Friday 27th September: London The Underworld (supporting Mallory Knox)
Anyway I look forward to buying them a beer for their efforts in Manchester and please check out the excellent new single 'Running All the Way Home', a typically relentless guitar driven track with a big appealing chorus.
And don't forget to check the latest tour details on the Spielbergs Facebook page.
