I do try and feature some pretty complex music, which always appeals to my Cardiacs / Major Parkinson obsessions, but of course things don't always have to be quite so wonderfully elaborate. Swedish project Dream boy have managed to create a fascinating track based on '1 lyrical line, 1 riff and1 guitar solo'. At first I wasn't sure whether this would quite keep me interested enough, but it has this traditional folk / nursery rhyme feel which suits the main melodic theme really well, and the track maintains an intensity which will keep you not only listening to the end, but wanting to listen again. The duo behind Dream Boy explain that the simple premise is based around 'the rise and passing of the greats in the stream of time', hence the lyrical line 'the man, the myth, the legend', repeated over and over.
